  1892 Traditional Ale

Commemorating the unique history of Newfoundland and Labrador, 1892 Traditional Ale recalls the year of the 'Great Fire'. Downtown St. John's was devastated by fire for the second time in less than 50 years. Over 1500 buildings were destroyed and 12,000 people were left homeless on Friday, July 8th, 1892. Damage was estimated to be in excess of 13 million dollars. The photo on this label is perhaps one of the last ones taken of downtown St. John's prior to this tragic event.

Reminiscent of the early brewing styles of our forefathers, 1892 Traditional Ale is brewed using the finest two row malt and North American and European hops. Generously hopped, this is a full-bodied reddish amber ale that offers a clean, sparkling finish. It will be enjoyed by those who prefer imported European beer styles and substantial flavor.

APPEARANCE: Clear, amber colour
AROMA: sweet malt, hop overtones
TASTE: full bodied, satisfying
